Another Way YOU Can Help? We have chosen to use Kuranda dog beds for our rescue dogs. They are comfortable, chewproof, easy to clean and will keep the dogs off the floor and warm. There are several ways to direct your donation to Beagle MarylandTM. You can make a donation directly to the rescue, and it will be spent where it is needed most - usually on veterinary bills. You can donate dog food, kennels/crates, blankets, towels, paper towels, trash bags - we go through all of these things rather quickly! You can choose one particular dog that you would like to sponsor, tell us who that is, and send a donation along, either directly to the rescue or via a PayPal link.
Or, you can choose to sponsor one of our 'special cases.' These beagles and beagle-mixes were rejected by other rescues because they had medical conditions that are expensive to treat - but Beagle MarylandTM wouldn't turn them away. We feel that they had just as much a right to live as any other dog that comes our way, so we take them in, pay to fix them, and then find their forever homes. These dogs are especially grateful for our care - they seem to know that they could have been in dire straights, but we saved them. However, their care is EXTREMELY expensive, and sometimes ongoing. We desperately need help funding their veterinary expenses. Please consider donating to those dogs in our "Morgan Fund." A special sponsorship can be obtained for $50.
