The Beagle Bash of 2006 was the largest, most ambitious fund raiser Beagle Rescue of Southern Maryland has ever attempted.  The facility chosen (and donated, mind you!) for the event could not have been more perfect, right down to the bone shaped in-ground swimming pool.  The weather cooperated splendidly.  We didn't count the dogs, but there were lots--and NOT ONE FIGHT BROKE OUT!  Our volunteers worked for many months and put forth 110% of effort.  There were games and contests, baskets, gifts, and even a bike to raffle off.  We raised some much needed funds (although we never have enough), and we had a great time in the process.  We learned much from this first effort and know that next year's event will be even better.  Many, many, many thanks to our volunteers and those that came out to show support for our rescue.  We are proud to say that it was all for the dogs!
