OK, I like to curl up in a cozy position....You can't tell from the picture but I'm on the hearth of the fireplace....yep, right where a hound ought to be!

Hey this was me on my first day....was I scared or what?

7/22/06 Update:  Well, our Jenny has responded well to "food therapy," and has blossomed from a waif-like 18 lbs. to a robust 30!  OK, we know it's time to back off on the therapy.

Jenny is a very gentle, submissive girl who comes when called, but in sort of a kowtowing manner.  She's shy, but loves to be petted and be the center of attention.  She would love a home where she could be the baby.

Because of her submissive temperament, she should be placed a home with non-aggressive pets.  She gets a long very well with the other dogs here at the rescue.  She's very easy to have around.

Jenny does have allergies and should be fed allergenic food and fish oil.

Jenny is from Caroline County, VA.  At 18 pounds, she is very, very thin  as she has gone hungry.  She will probably weigh about 25 pounds once she has eaten regularly for a while.  Jenny is very nervous at the moment because she doesn't know what is happening to her and doesn't understand she is safe now.  She so much wants to be loved.  She is good with other dogs, and we expect her to be good with cats and older kids who know how to treat a dog.  She would like to be the center of someone's attention. 

Adoptive Status:  Jenny is spayed, UTD on shots, Heartworm Negative and micro-chipped.

Dream Home Minimum Requirements: Just needs love and a human to love her.

Owner Aptitude Level:  Beginner.  Jenny is EASY!
