Please meet
Apple ! This tiny bundle of joy, a typical 9 week-old
puppy, which we think is a beagle dachshund mix, is adorable. She’s soft
and has all that extra puppy skin. She’s curious, explores the world
around her and loves being around gentle dogs. Her foster mom says that
Apple is very people-bonded, wants to be around her humans and loves to
cuddle.
Our sweet tiny Apple in blind. She suffers from chronic glaucoma and
already has cataracts. She has been receiving drops, which do help, but
even though she does not appear to be in pain yet, her eyes will have to
be removed and replaced with prostheses. This will spare her much agony
in the future.
Beagle Maryland has successfully taken in a
number of
blind dogs and has found loving forever homes for them. Please
remember, beagles live by their nose and adapt remarkably to living
without their eyesight. Check out two of our of blind beagles
success stories –
Helen and
Chester Ray.
These are exceptional dogs and they have a way of touching our hearts
and surprising us at every turn.
We want Apple to live out her
puppyhood and continue to be a happy-go-lucky little girl. Will you please
help this become reality? Adoptive Status: Spayed, UTD on shots and micro-chipped. Dream Home Minimum Requirements: Apple wants someone committed to love and care for her throughout her entire life. She needs someone who will be patient as she learns to navigate your home - and she'd appreciate it if you didn't rearrange the furniture every few weeks.
