2/17/06 - It’s been almost a year since I adopted Yancey, now Jimbo. I have to tell you what an amazing little dog this is. My mom passed away in January and if it wasn’t for his companionship I believe she would have left us earlier. Jimbo is loved by everyone he meets including my coworkers on the Hill. He has free roam of the office and usually, once he makes his rounds and greets everyone, he lies in his bed in my office or plays with one of his toys. He is the most wonderful dog in the world. He rides next to me in the truck and I try to take him everywhere I go. He is great with kids and loves to play with the beagle next door. Snickers will come over for hours on end and they will play until both are exhausted. Of course, his favorite places are the bed and in my lap in the rocker recliner. Words just cannot express how lucky I am to have found Jimbo. Thanks, Gene PS- I put a link to BRSM on my website, if you don’t mind. http://www.genegrimes.com/Jimbo.html
5/23/05 - Just wanted to follow up on his progress; Jimbo is the most adorable dog. He likes to sleep in my lap and was just in heaven last night under the covers. He seems to be getting used to me and the house pretty well. We actually played around this afternoon a bit. I took him for a long walk this morning to the Village Green in Indian Head. He really likes to investigate. I am using the pigtail and cable until I get the 2 holes in my fence fixed. He also seems to be housebroken. He has not offered once to pee on anything nor has he taken a dump in the house. He's eating well and adjusting very quickly. My elderly mother just loves him during the times she is conscious and he even jumped in her bed a few times. She has been so depressed since the loss of Nipper, our old beagle, that Jimbo has really done something for her. Tomorrow, I take him to work for the first time. I'm hoping he adjusts to being in a small office. Of course, I'll be taking him for walks periodically during the day. Thanks so much for this little dog. Estimated date of birth: 5/5/04 |
