Tina (now Jazz)

Well, it's been just over two weeks now, and I wanted to give you an update on Tina.  First, we 've renamed her Jazz!  She's just so mellow and easygoing, it seemed like a perfect name.  Jazz has adjusted very well to her new furr-ever home.  On the very first day when we were showing her around the house, after she saw her crate, she seemed to realize this was her new home and she got all animated.  Later that night, she saw herself in my dresser mirror and thought it was another dog.  It was the first time we heard her voice, as she barked once at the other dog.  We took it as a good sign that Jazz likes and wants to protect her new territory.

Jazz knows her new name.  She loves going for walks with me, and she adores getting attention from everybody--me, my husband, my stepsons, friends of ours, etc.  She likes to hang out with me as I work in my home office.  We've had some housetraining accidents, but they are getting fewer in frequency.  We just had a session with a trainer yesterday, and besides giving us some advice on housetraining, the trainer helped us start to teach Jazz some basic commands.  Jazz did very well; she is a smart, sweet, gentle girl who wants to please.

I'm sending along a few pictures of Jazz with me, my husband, with one of my stepsons, and with friends of ours as we played cards the other night (gives credence to that whole "dogs playing poker" thing. hahaha) We just love her!  Thank you for fostering her until we came along!
