Tex, Yup that's me...just a laid back easy going coonhound.

Hi, I'm Tex and I'm a black and tan coonhound.  My foster mom said that she named me Tex because I'm very laid back and she thought it was a good name for a big ol' coonhound.  I don't like to toot my own horn, but I am a very sweet dog who gets along very well with most other dogs.  I just love it when my mom scratches and pets me.  She laughs at me because I won't go into my crate without a good scratch and pet first.   I was very scared when I first came to my foster mom’s house but I’m getting better.  It just takes me a while to get used to a new environment.  I have a lot of dog friends at my foster home, and I get along well with all of the smaller dogs.   I don’t mind spending time in my crate and I actually like it because it’s my very own space.  As I mentioned before, I do love to be petted and I really like it when my foster mom comes outside and plays with me.  She thinks it’s funny because I get excited and race around the yard like a puppy!

Adoptive Status:  Neutered, UTD on shots, Heartworm Negative and micro-chipped.  Tex is ready to become a member of your family.

Dream Home Minimum Requirements: EASY.  Being crate trained.

Owner Aptitude Level: Beginner.
