8/08:  Oona took her first vacation.  She loved running on the beach.  The ocean?  Not so much!

5/08: I think that I found the perfect dog for me in Oona.  After weeks going to adoption events and of looking at cute beagle faces on the website, the ones that caught my eye were already adopted and I was getting frustrated.  When I inquired about Sally Belle I got a quick response from her foster mom, Roisin, and headed up to Catonsville the next day in a blinding rainstorm.  Sally was even cuter than her picture, but was firmly attached to the couch.  However, when she saw the leash, she bounded to the door overwhelmed with excitement.  She thought a walk in the rain was a great idea and I thought maybe she's not the couch potato that she appears to be.  So I took her home.

Oona is a terrific dog and is blossoming in her new environment.  She is extremely friendly to all dogs and people that she meets.  While she has tried out every couch, chair and bed in my house, she also enjoys sitting on the deck watching squirrels.  She loves her walks and car rides and is exploring the yard cautiously.  I would love to hear her howl, but all she can manage are little cries "erp, erp."  I think she likes being an only dog and is extremely respectful to my senior cat Romeo.  It turned out pretty good all around.

Thank you Roisin, and thank you Beagle Maryland!
