Pancake has been with us since
Labor Day 2004. She is true Beagle and everyone who meets her
falls in love with her. Her foster mother had done wonders
with her before we got her, but she still had a few strange
behaviors. She initially had a bedwetting problem (ours).
What a treat to crawl into bed at the end of a long day only to find
a cold, wet surprise. She had abandonment issues and at times
was more like a cat than a dog because we would find her on top of
the furniture or sitting in a window sill (about 4 feet above floor
level) when we returned home. Acrobatics and antics aside, she
has settled in nicely and we can't imagine life without her.
She loves her walks, gets along
well with the Lab next door and the Daschund across the street and
loves our pet bunnies and washes them as if they were her pups.
I'm grateful to the foster mom,
Sharon, who took her in when Pancake wandered into her yard, cold
and emaciated. We are forever grateful for the loving hearts
of Sharon and everyone at Beagle Rescue of Southern Maryland for
rescuing these kind and loving creatures.
