On May 7, 2009 we received this note from Morrie's loving family:   "Morrie rode off into the sunset yesterday.  Life caught up with my old man.  He was pretty much deaf with I got him and as time went on his eyesight started to go as well.  But damned if he still wasn't the happiest, wildest little old man!  He was always happy (and hungry) and I loved him.  I had him only 2 1/2 years, but he was my best friend.  I loved him so much and will miss him for the rest of my days.  I hope he's happy and healthy and as wild and crazy up in heaven as he was down here with me.  I'll never forget his little gray face."
