Spring 2008 Hi to all my friends at S.M.B.R. it’s Maggie Blue Ridge checking in. As you can tell, I have finally found my forever home! My new family keeps telling me that I am here to stay, forever. At first I really missed my foster family, because they took such good care of me. My new family gave me lots of hugs, let me sit with them on the sofa, and even sleep with them in bed! It made me feel loved and wanted! I have a new dog brother, his name is Teak and he is a big yellow lab. He has been so nice to me. Teak and I go for long walks in our big yard. We get to run and play and have fun. My new mom tells that Teak was lonely after his older sister went over the Rainbow Bridge and his real sister, Torrie moved to Delaware with my new grandmom. Torrie comes back for visits, so it is nice to see her every few months. My mom told me that this summer we will get to go to Delaware and visit Torrie. It sounds like fun and I am going to get to go to the beach too. I really knew that I found my forever home when my mom showed me the special collar she had made for me with my name and new phone number on the tag. Teak has one just like it. My mom told me that maybe I can go to some rally shows this summer since I am such a smart girl. My mom loves to train and show her labs and now wants to do the same with me. I also got to meet my new vet. He told my mom that I was a beautiful dog and that she made an excellent choice in getting me! I was so proud of myself. All the office girls wanted to keep me too! I am soooo happy now, and look forward to seeing my friends this year at the Beagle Bash! Maggie Blue Ridge
June 22, 2008 Wow, I just got back from my trip to Delaware. Teak and I rode together. He told me the ride was going to be long, but I did it. We got to stop at really cool rest stop for dogs too. I had a great time and can’t wait to go back. We got to wear our special beach collars with sea turtles on them for our trip! Maggie Blue Ridge
I wanted to thank BRSM for taking in a treeing walker coonhound! I was thrilled when I was accepted to adopt Maggie. She has transitioned into my family seamlessly. It’s like she has been with us for years! Maggie has such a sweet loving nature; I am surprised that it took so long for her to find a forever home! Thank you again, Sarah and William
