I got Jean-Marie because I completely fell for one of her friends at Beagle Maryland, Claude Monet. I saw how grateful he was to have found a permanent loving home, and I had hoped to help another sweet beagle have a similar experience. Jean-Marie has had a tough life, as if being abandoned and hit by a car wasn't tough enough, we found out she had a cancerous lump near her lungs, rotting teeth, heart problems, and an ear infection. Fortunately the surgery to remove her lump was a great success and with the medicine she currently takes for her heart, the vet believes it will increase her life by 80-90%. What staggering statistics! Miss Jeanie also had her teeth taken care of, and her ears are 100% now so the little girl has so much spring in her step. She even gives my two cats a run for their money now and again which I think secretly they enjoy. Jean-Marie is the sweetest dog in the world, and while she has 3 of her own beds (not including the c! ouch, chairs, and my bed), her favorite place to sleep is anywhere near me. I continually am surprised by the increase in energy she exudes and I count my life so much richer for her being a part of it. She greets me every time I come home with a howl of love which just makes you melt a million times over. I can't thank you enough for uniting me with this truly special animal.

Attached are photos of Jean-Marie, one of them includes her friend that she stills sees frequently from the rescue, Claude Monet.
