Herbie found his forever home with us in December 2008 at just about 1 year old. He is a beagle mixed with what we think might be dachshund. We didn’t change his name because it fits his personality perfectly! He is a loveable boy who enjoys chewing rawhides, playing with his cousins Tasha and Trooper (also Beagle Maryland rescues adopted  by my sister), and getting belly rubs from whoever he meets.  He spends his days napping and saving all his energy to play when his family gets home. Herbie loves to take walks outside and sniff everything in his path. Herbie is not a very vocal beagle boy but when he does bark it is very entertaining. You can hear that he isn’t a full beagle, or a full dachshund but some mix between the two.  On nice days you will usually find him lying in the sun on the porch watching the world go by. Herbie would like to say thank you to everyone who donates time and money to Beagle Maryland; they made his wonderful life possible!
