The car ride home

They say that the third time is the charm ,and that goes for Freckles Goodpup (now Tammy Goodpup).  She had a few false starts while trying to find her forever home, but everything happens for a reason. Now living in Manassas, Va, Tammy spends her free time looking for squirrels in her fenced 1/2 acre yard with her big brother Travis, a beagle/Jack Russell mix. During the day, Tammy heads off to work at her mom's real estate office and on breaks, gets to walk the Manassas Battlefield trails, home to hundreds of deer and small animals. In the evening she gets to walk again around the country-like neighborhood, satisfying her instinctual urges to smell the wildlife. She's overcome her initial fear of the dog park and seems to enjoy meeting the other kids there.  Tammy has blended well into her new life.  She is learning her new house manners quickly and is virtually housebroken.  She loves to display her stuffed animals, in various states of half-chewed and heartless (no squeaker), all around the house.  She loves to sneak into her mom's bed in the middle of the night and sleep near her head...just to be closer to the loved ones.  Her only flaw? She snores like an old man.
