I adopted Dixie (now Penny) in late November (07).  She's only been with me for 2 months, but she was a member of the family after two days!  She adores her new sister Pacey (a black lab/beagle mix) and the cats Hubbell and Matilda.  Penny is really sweet and loving, but she rules the house.  She keeps Pacey firmly in line and never hesitates to let her opinions be known.  She tries to eat everything (remote controls, clothing, a pair of my glasses...luckily the lenses were plastic) and some of the trouble she gets herself into baffles, but she's so cute and she does it with style!  Pacey and Penny are the best of friends, even sleep cuddled up with each other.  Pacey is so happy to have a playmate and is extremely protective of her.  I'm so lucky to have found her.  She's a great dog and a wonderful addition to my home.
