Hi Sherry-Mom!  Brewster here.  You are not going to believe where we got to go today!  Lisa-Mom called it Fort Mott Park.  It was the coolest!!  We got to go for a long walk there this morning.  We got to walk through trails in the woods (Lisa-Mom thought we were expecting maybe to find beagles in there!), and we got to walk along the Delaware River and around the old military fort.  There were so many things to smell - we were in heaven!  We even saw a bunny rabbit run across the trail right in front of us!!!!  We all popped our heads up and started to bark.  Poor Lisa-Mom, she had to dig her heels in and hold on tight!  Then when we were sitting on a grassy berm in the shade so Lisa-Mom could have a smoke, a jogger lady rounded the corner and we all barked at her.  We scared the begeesus out of her - hee-hee-hee-hee-hee!  She came over and petted us anyway and said we were all "angels."  We all had the bestest time and can't wait to go back again.

Yesterday we all had to take turns having "lessons" - we're learning "sit" first.  Me and Sweet Pea just about have it down.  Lisa-Mom says Sawyer has "attention deficit" or something or another, but we think he'll catch on soon enough.  Uh-oh, I hear Sweet Pea barking at something outside.  Gotta go!  Brewster signing off...

Update:  9/26/06

Here are some photos of Sawyer, Sweet Pea & Brewster (I kept their "rescue" names) in their new home -- some pix from the back yard & a "posed" photo in front of the house after we came back from a long walk at the park -- and of course, all the pooped out pups takin' a snooze afterward . . .

Sawyer, Sweet Pea & Brewster are all happy and doing well in their new home.  They love to go for long walks -- especially at the park!  The three of them like to play together and all have acquired a distinct fondness for pigs ears.  Sawyer & Sweet Pea love to chase each other back and forth around in the yard -- Brewster steers clear of that though, he doesn't want to get stampeded.  Instead, Brewster likes to play fetch with me on the opposite side of the yard. To those at BRSM who have heard Brewster's "scream" -- yes, he still does it and I think it's hysterical!!  All three dogs are great and I love 'em to death!  And, to all the volunteers at BRSM, thank you for the work you do -- it's worth it!
