We adopted Sadie (formerly Blossom) last summer.  She is about 16 months old now and is a beagle mix, the "mix" part being a lab.  We call her our beagle on stilts because of her very long legs.  Our other beagle, Jasmine, can literally walk under Sadie.  Sadie thinks life is all about playing.  If she had her way, she would play fetch/catch all day long.  You don't dare sit down because as soon as you do, there is Sadie with a ball or a toy for you to toss.  And guess who greets you at the door - yes, Sadie, and sure enough, she'll always have a toy in her mouth to give to you.

Sadie is still very much a puppy, and we are trying very hard to train her.  Although she doesn't seem to have the "sense" instinct that beagle have, she does have the stubborn streak of beagles.  At least she has learned to respect our other Beagle, who is 12 years old.  We are very lucky to have Sadie and despite all the trials and tribulations, she is wonderful and fun to have around.
