Meet Betsy, one happy, playful Beagle.  What a pretty girl!  She is such a character, we have given her a nickname already--Wigglebutt.  When Betsy is happy, her tail just can't wag hard enough, so she wiggles her whole body and makes little joyful Beagle sounds.  She loves playing 'chase the squirrels' and keep-away with her beagle buddies in the backyard and plays fetch with the frisbee.  Like all beagles, she loves treats and chewies and will proudly do her big trick for a treat--"sit."  We're busy teaching her new tricks, too--she's smart and learning fast.

As active as Betsy can be, she also loves lying next to you while you're watching tv or sitting outside, sighing blissfully while she gets lots of pets and snuggles.  If you get distracted or forget, she will nudge her nose under your hand until you start petting her again.  Sweet Betsy's an affectionate, submissive dog who likes young children and being with other non-aggressive dogs.

A word from Betsy:  "Sheesh!  My former family did not have much patience or understanding.  I was scared a lot and did things that scared dogs do, and they corrected me in ways that made me even more fearful.  But I'm a happy girl now.  I can be myself.  I hear only good and happy words and I'm appreciated and loved for who I am - a great beagle girl!"

Adoptive Status:  Will be spayed, UTD on shots, Heartworm Negative and micro-chipped by adoption.

Dream Home Minimum Requirements: Best in a home where not alone too long each day and with another friendly dog.  Betsy stays quietly in her crate during the day in a room with other beagles and has had no accidents in the house.  She loves to play and be with other dogs and people.

Owner Aptitude Level:  Beginner.
