5/18/05 - Beatrice- AKA Queen Bee. Honey Bee. BeBe, BB Queen and "most beautiful girl in the world" has been queen of the condo for 4 weeks now.  She is a wonderful doggie and it is a pleasure seeing her come out of her shell. She was at Johns Hopkins Research Lab as a breeder dog for a while and we do not know where she was before that.

She was quite timid at first- only sitting on the couch or bed. It took her about 2 weeks to start venturing beyond that to explore her new domain.  She sleeps in the bed now - not a 14' concrete run and has learned to take up more than her share of the bed!!

She has her own little bed which to my surprize, she actually likes to nap in. She has started eating dry dog food and has a vet we really like.  We live next to a park and she absolutely loves exploring the mountain bike trails. We have paved trails also and we are practicing to to our local SPCA Dog Jog - a fun 1 mile fund raiser. She is running  well on her leash next to me - except of course when she stops abruptly to catch the scent of a squirrel or racoon.

We will keep you updated on her progress--she is still absolutely petrified of the ceiling fan!!

I love her more than anything in the world!!

PS- I am an Optician and she is a wonderful model of the "smart look" eyeglasses!!
