This is me with my brothers, Chappy and Jeff, when Jeff visited a few weeks ago.

Bandit was renamed Buddy.  He came to us as a "profoundly shy" little dog.  In his case, that was a euphemism for a dog who is practically a basket case he's so terrified of EVERYTHING...earmuffs, the sound of a window envelope, etc., etc., etc.  After a year and a half, he is practically a normal dog.  He is thrilled with life, curious, and anxious to explore, which we hoped would eventually be the case, but wondered many, many times.  Buddy now has a senior adopted brother, Chappy, and is learning to enjoy sharing.  Watching Buddy evolve and overcome his challenges has been so exciting.  He has been so brave and has tried so hard.  I can't imagine what we would do without him.
