Bailey is a sweet beagle girl who was found tied to a tree on the Quantico Marine base.  Luckily, one of our fosters was there when the animal warden brought Bailey in--so instead of having her go to a shelter, she became a Beagle Maryland dog!  Now she's in southern Maryland, in a foster home with a greyhound buddy. She gets along well with all types of dogs and cats too. She seems to be good with kind children as well. Bailey's new foster family is quite in love with her…they would love to keep her if they could because she is such a sweet and easy dog. Bailey is the perfect mix of playful, mellow, and loving. She spends most of her time just following her family around the house hoping for some love. If someone pets the resident greyhound, Bailey sneaks in between her tall legs to get a little attention herself. If you are sitting on a chair she'll put her paws on your thigh and nudge your hand like a cat until you rub her head…so cute! She loves to romp in the yard, chasing and carrying dog toys. She loves walks and hikes too. In the house when she's feeling playful she's happy to play with others or by herself. She only chews/plays with dog toys and bones…has never gotten in any kind of trouble. She crates beautifully...knows that crate time is quiet time. She is very good outside of the crate however and does not need to be crated. She is accustomed to being alone during long work days (8-9 hrs) and does not seem to mind…she saves up her love for the evening when you are home! Aside from a few accidents that happened around the transition to her new foster home, she has been accident free. Very easy to manage…sits for treats and takes them gently from your hand. Jumps happily when she sees the leash come out, but then sits to get her harness on. Doesn't mind getting nails clipped, bathing, etc. An all around easy dog…she would bring you so much joy…is there room in your heart and home for sweet Bailey?
