Do you remember Angelina, the sweet girl who came to Beagle Maryland very
very pregnant and shortly thereafter gave birth to seven (yes, seven) beagle
and black lab mixes? Well, Angelina is still with us and looking for her own
loving home. All the puppies have been adopted out and now live in loving
homes. Angelina, their wonderful mother, is now dreaming of a place she can
call her “dream forever home.”
Since the puppies left,
their sweet mother has changed foster homes and is now recovering from the
hardships of carrying, giving birth to and tending to seven wild offspring.
She can finally sleep calmly, walk around without being pestered, listen to
classical music and regain her slim figure. Angelina is trying hard to fit
in with her new foster siblings and learn the routine of her new foster
home.
Here is what her new foster
mom has to say: “Angelina is a very gentle and sweet girl. She has a very
nice disposition, but being rather shy, she needs a lot of praise and
reassurance. We suspect that in her pre-BRSM life, she did not have a lot of
exposure to kind and loving humans, so we’ve been applying the “baby talk
therapy.” In spite of her past experiences, she is very social and her tail
does not stop wagging when we come to visit her in her different favorite
places, such as … the couches. She is learning to enjoy her regular walks in
the woods and the company of her foster beagle siblings. This is a very
affectionate girl with tons of love to offer. She is calm and would like
nothing better than a soft pillow to sleep on and a good and gentle human to
love her.”
And if Angelina could
write, this is what she would say: “I have been a good mommy to my puppies
and now I would like to find my own mommy or daddy. I have dreams about that
and they make me happy. So happy in fact that, according to my new foster
mommy, I snore like an old sailor. Well, that’s because it feels very good
to have your own home. I like to be petted and hugged and told I have
beautiful eyes and long soft ears. My new foster mommy says I must have some
basset in me. I did meet some bassets on Saturday and she may be right. But
they were sooooo long! Yes, I do get scared when there are a lot of people
around and a lot of noise. I like peace and quiet and I get a lot of that
right now. My new foster mommy calls it therapy. She says I will soon be
walking with my tail held high and prancing like a proud horse. I like that
idea!”
Angelina is a very lovable girl. She would love a home on the quiet side and
one with a nice couch, if possible (the color makes no difference). Please
consider giving this wonderful girl a place in your heart and home. You will
not regret it. Contrary to Wall Street, your investment will give many happy
returns and guarantee a loving companion for life.
