10/8/09: Alison , after vetting, has begun to feel comfortable in her foster home. No longer afraid, she is friendly, outgoing and very, very good natured. Alison is quite good with the small children in her foster home, as well as the other dogs and cats. She likes physical affection and cuddling. She is learning that outside is the best place to conduct "business," and retreats to her crate when she wants some peace and quiet. And speaking of quiet.... she is. Except for when she hears the dinner bowls clanking. We think she's just making sure that the head count is correct and no one (especially her) is left out. 9/20/09: Alison came to us after having been hit by a car. She is suffering from a concussion and a fractured shoulder. She is thin and very, very scared. Alison stayed at the vet for awhile to be evaluated. At present she is in her foster home being the family pet she should be. We expect her to be fit as a fiddle (ha! get it?) and ready for her forever home in a month or so. We'll also know more of her temperament by then and will be able to match her better to her forever home. Stay tuned. (Oops...we did it again!) Alison's vet costs will run considerably more than the usual fee charged for vetting a healthy dog. We will gratefully accept any and all donations for her care. Thanks! Want to make a donation?
