organizes an Annual Great American Mutt Contest (photo contest, that is).

We post fundraising and
other events, such as adoption days, on a regular basis. Sometimes we may ask
for donations of items for special benefit sales, for help at special rescue
group showcases or adoption days, and even for help with baking doggie treats.
Or we may need help with transporting a dog to the vet or picking one up from a
shelter. The possibilities are almost endless. If you cannot help on a regular
basis, there is always an occasional opportunity to lend a hand. And we welcome
all help. So please return often to our website and, if you have some time to
spare, we will gladly offer you ways of spending it. Ewa is building a
list of volunteers, so please email her and tell her your location and how you
can help...
IDEAS
We always
welcome new ideas on how to reach out to the community, educate and, of course,
raise funds. So if you do have ideas – even if they do not seem like much to you
– let us know. Our ears are cocked.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
You may even consider
doing something like a ‘dog story time’ at your local public library or school.
Teaching children about the humane treatment of animals is a great community
outreach project and showcases our group in a very unique and constructive way.
If you have children in the Boy or Girl Scouts, or some other group, think about
some educational activity you could organize for them. Email

CALLING ALL TEENS!
Here's a unique
opportunity for you to do great community service and engage in some PR. Could
you help us organize a benefit car wash for Beagle Rescue? Get together a group
of friends, contact gas station managers to find one willing to let you do it on
their premises and set to work! And if you have
other ideas, that’s great. Let us know and we’ll gladly discuss them with you.
